yeah, i dont think it's a very popular color on here. there's another guy on here that has one....here's his link. i really like how it's not a real bright red but more dark...kinda like blood.

If you are going to "smoke" the entire taillight - it should be a very very light coat and only done on certain color cars.

I'm not a fan of the murdered out triple black look - the only attention it seems to attract is police attention so go for it if that's what you want! haha

Otherwise I like doing partial smoked lenses as moderation in this case is the key! Just look at the AMG cars which have a slightly darker shade of tails ~ tasteful and elegant. I've done some full tails smoked and just doesn't look right usually. I may go a shade lighter on my IS-F but for now it's gotten pretty positive reviews. On my pictures it always shows up darker because I'm usually shooting towards the evening while the sun is setting.

I'll do a morning shoot someday and you will see the smoked portions on my car is not that dark as the pictures make it out to be.
