There can be several factors to total out a car. Just because they say "light hit" doesn't tell the story. Sometimes cars can total out because of structural unibody or frame damage, or even an electrial or mechanical total loss. Don't believe everything you read on ebay...chances are it's someone trying to make a quick buck on a car that could have major problems.

I just looked at the feedback for that seller- looks like they are purchasing a ton of parts directly off of ebay to fix these cars, most are out of salvaged vehicles. I'm not sure that I'd want a IS-F that was cobbled back together with salvaged parts off of other total loss vehicles.

This one doesn't have the headlamp washers in the front bumper. I would sure think that for 61K as the window sticker shows, it would have had those. Who knows what else was or was not replaced.

Also check with your insurance company because a lot of companies will not put full coverage on a salvage title.

Hey Joe!! I have seen you catch that the wheels were installed backwards on a few different pictures and vids. How can you tell by looking the wheels are backwards?

Actually, the ML/NAV only cars that we get here in the Western Region don't have park assist or headlamp washers. The 08 sticker was at 61.2k.

But true, its possible they just replace the front bumper and left the other stuff hanging behind the cover. We simply just don't know.

Actually that car does not, and should not have headlight washers. The sticker total indicates it does have Intuitive Parking Assist , a $500.00 option. Looking at the bumpers, I see the sensors. So it appears that the card is still equipped as it left the factory.

Wheel Blade direction sticks out like a sore thumb to me..

Each wheel has a specific location: FR, FL, RR, RL

These are on the wrong sides..

You can get some info from Carfax if you have the VIN, I.e. carfax tells you if the airbags have been deployed, etc.

Carfax wont necessarily tell you the whole story. If the damages were fixed without insurance company involvement or was fixed out of pocket, it wont be reported on carfax or any other source.

Im pretty sure it was more damage than that, and plus it has 14,000 miles on it already.
