I read the manual front to back and they talk about setting up the 6 Speed Tones but what the heck is that for?

Also when you are in the Phone menu where you can dial the number, what is the dual folder icon just to the right of the #3? It seems to be a speed dial of some sort but where do you go to set that button? I know how to set my speed dials but I can’t find any reference in the manual to that particular button.

From what I can tell they are for storing numbers that are not phone numbers, i.e. calling card numbers, voicemail passwords, etc. Stuff that can be dialed while a call is initiated.

 

Exactly right. Tones you can play while the call is in progress.
