I don't have any problem with the steering wheel. I don't understand the reason behind a thicker steering wheel either. I've seen a lot of M3 owners complain b/c they feel the larger steering wheel leads to less road feel. I guess you always want what you don't have.

I don't mind the size or thickness of the steering wheel. I think it's fine. What I DON'T like is the weird synthetic dry feel of the perforated surface. The leather on my S2K steering wheel was perfect.

So I know you can have it re-wrapped but can you also widen it at the same time? I need that info on where Javy hooked his up.

Depends on the type of material used. The alcantara used on my steering wheel is a very, very short length, and will actually outlast "regular" leather as long it's not dipped in axle grease and tumble dried on high...

Once the leather is off, you can do whatever you want to it. Just tell your upholsterer what you want and if they're any good, it shall be so. I had my steering wheel done my TurinModel, who did the interior found in the FiveAxis Project: IS-F. Fantastic work.

Is that true I never really thought of that?

Regardless, I'm far from Japanese...time for a bigger steering wheel.

i think is just that lexus is supposed to be te more luxurious/comfort part of the market. if anyone goes to the track or drives on mountain occasionally then gloves are a good option without havoing to replace the whole thing
