Default Bridgestone RE-11s

Anyone try these yet?

They are XL load, in our OEM sizes.

"These blow the OEM PS2s OUT OF THE WATER! I can't believe I drove on those PS2s for so long. Michelin ----s. Long live Bridgestone!"

from some M3 owner on the reviews section.

These are classified as "Extreme Performance"; the PS2s are "Max Performance".

I was looking at these too but I'm kind of concerned about how stiff they will be. Most Extreme performance tires tend to be very stiff.

a) it would be hard to be much stiffer than the OEM XLs!
b) are you going to really notice a stiffness difference between max and extreme performance? I've never owned an extreme set, so I wouldn't know...but it seems like the difference wouldn't be that great.

I think they will perform better obviously. But you will sacrifice some serious tread life I'd imagine.

The stock Bridgestones have a threadwear of140 and the RE11's have 180 so I don't think you'll give up too much thread life.
