IS-F Headers
#93
I think I'd be more concerned about the warranty. I remember having a problem with another vehicle, in which the header actually burned the harness for the crankshaft sensor. I don't know about headers.

I've heard talk about not wrapping these headers because of retained heat. I don't see why wrapping them would be an issue. I would think it would help keep engine heat/soak to a min. Could someone tell me why people are saying its bad.

Thermal wrap on a street car is usually a bad idea because the wrap traps water against the tubing and causes it to corrode very quickly. Race cars are rebuilt frequently enough for this to be a minor issue, but street cars are not, and headers have been known to fully corrode through the metal from water being trapped under the wrap.

I wouldn't risk the wrap. Coating for sure, but wrap is ridiculously heavy compared to coatings and it traps water.
