Default IS-F Headers

Ok so we are in the process of developing headers for the IS-F and needed some feedback from CL members.

Questions:

This question is the most important.
#1: How much would a shop charge to install the headers.
We spoke to the techs at the dealer and the motor needs to be lowered to install the headers. If someone has another way please PM me.

#2: What would be a good price where you find it worth it to make the upgrade. We were thinking in the $2000.00 range. These would be 100% made in the US.

#3: How many people would be interested in this product.

Any and all feedback is appreciated!

Janoy

$2k sounds good considering the 2IS JUN-TW Headers are about $1,750...

Plus if there's better gains than the 2IS gets from the JUN-TW i don't see a reason why it should be less than $2k a set...

They ARE for an 8 Cylinder, which takes even more time to produce & perfect...

From the outcome i saw with the ISS Forged Exhaust, this should come out spectacular!

haha to the shoes story. Id say it doesnt matter what it costs it all depends on the dollars per hp ratio. including how the car will sound or maybe shave some weight by taking off the Cats, etc. If i had an F id be excited about these, good luck

Does this make the car technically "not street legal" b/c the removal of the primary cats? The price is steep but as said, if the hp/$ is worth it, I'd consider it. But if I'm going to run into emmissions issues, prob not with my ISF being my DD. Thanks for the R&D.

emissions are for ****ies!!! you only live once and most the time you can pass an OBDII scan with no cats, as long as there is no check engine light.

Janoy,
IDK why i didnt get a text about the project being back on lol. but let me know when you need the car and ill drop it off.

I figured I let everyone chime in to see if it is worth going this route. Paul's fear is that we invest in developing this product and no one want to buy them cause of the installation charges. We are going to finish the stuff we are working before we start on the headers again.

Trust me you will be the first to know.

What about tuning? My guess is that the IS-F will need some sort of tuning if you're going to run headers. I'm interested, especially if installation is included for local cars.
