There was some discussion on another forum about people making "fake" yellow stickers for their 2010 Prius....for carpool access.

This is a pretty funny one:

 

Is this a California thing?

And is the sticker supposed to read "excess" or "access"?

 

haha, I dont know what you talking about, My IsF today averaged 27.8 mpg on the highway from Nyc to Philly. some V6 engines arent even that efficient....

Only time i got 29mpg was when i was driving 65-70mph...

 

Same here. I just drove a 2000 mile round trip adventure from ATL to CID. Never broke 27 indicated or calculated. But I had my cruise set at 80, so 25 - 26 mpg isn't bad.

My 350 was definitely better, and the 250 guys laugh at all of us for fuel economy.

 

i believe if you want to drive a fast performance car, why bother even looking at gas prices...

It's a decal made to "look" like the official HOV Carpool sticker that most Prius and other hybrids have so they can be in the carpool lane with single occupancy. I think it's supposed to read "Access OK" on the real sticker but someone obviously did a photoshop to say "Excess Ok" as a joke!

Unfortuntately they don't give these stickers out for new hybrids anymore and I don't own one so don't know what the real sticker looks like but I'm sure someone can Google it to find it ~ supposed to be a hot commodity and people have been known to make fakes!

 

and i laugh at them in the horse power and torque numbers

 

I'll rock that sticker on my '70 Impala SS 400cid
