I did exactly the same thing...I was happy with my IS350 until I test drove the "F" just for fun. That test drive changed me....after I heard the growl of the engine when it started up and the roar of the car as you give it some gas.....I was sold.

It had me at VROOOM?

 

My story's a little different. I was at the dealer buying my wife an ES. While there I noticed a demo F. I asked if I could hear the exhaust note, next I asked if I could drive it. When I did, I fell in luv. I argued with myself for the next two weeks. Then, I started to negotiate for a new one over the telephone. Three weeks after we picked up my wife's car, mine was parked next to her's in the garage. I was happy with my G35 coupe, until I drove that darn F. I didn't go there to buy myself a car, honest But, I'm glad I did. What a great car

The sound of the F is great, especially indoors. I was at a Lexus indoor showroom north of here when they fired up an IS-F on the floor. I immediately ran over to check it out.
