What's your take on the differences between the 2 cars (350 vs. -F)?

Like a few members have posted, there are some significant difference between a regular IS and a F. The ride quality is much harsher but I expected that already. I'd love to have a six speed manual option, but I figured I can live without it.

I seriously considered an E92 M3. It is a great car, however, I can't deal with the iDrive. I'm happy with the switch.

And you tried to convince people you were going back to stock on the 350 to buy a house

HAHA I did Allen. I got a buyer for my car and the deal on the F was too good to turn down.

i had 2 IS350's in the past....After getting the F, i can't even think of driving 350!! IS350 is an excellent car actually it feels more responsive on the lower rpm range than F Driving in the city IS350 felt more fun to drive but after 3800rpm F is another animal

well having little brother and big brother sitting in the garage (08 starfire is350 and 08 isf) here is my take

power- isf wins here especially after the car is above 3800 rpm. however the is350 seems more responsive at lower rpm ranges.

transmission- isf wins here again. although the 6 speed automatic is a nice in the 350, the inability to actually control it is where is falls behind. the isf is always searching for the right gear and downshifts take forever, but once you learn to drive it it doesnt compare.

exhaust noise- toss up for me. i love the sound of the isf especially after 3800 rpm, however i could never drive in it for 14 hours straight like i could in the is350. the extra noise is that much more draining on longer trips for me.

seat comfort- isf wins here. not only are the seats more comfortable, they are more supportive as well as put you in a better position to drive that the ones in the is350.

seat layout- is350 has the ability to seat 5. however i could never imagine having 5 adults in a car this small.

interior- overall isf wins. isf has an all black interior which is much more pleasant than the two tone found in the is350. however the isf lacks the storage space in the rear arm rest that the is350 has. also the is350 has different trim choices, whereas the silver cf is a hit or miss. luckily i like it.

navigation/stereo- same in both cars.

ride quailty- i like the isf better in this area. it is a lot harsh-er than the is350, however i prefer it to a car that floats.

brakes- never had a problem with either car. the brembos are nice on the isf, but since neither car has been pushed to its limits its hard to tell.

steering feedback- isf wins. the is350 just feels so assisted you dont feel like you are driving a car. isf has some feedback, but still lacks some as well.

exterior- depends on your taste. at first i hated the looks of the isf. however over time it grew on me and now i much prefer it to the is350. also the exterior mirrors on the isf are much better compared to the elephant ears found on the is350.

gas mileage- is350 wins hands down here. although when on the highway the two cars seem to get pretty similiar gas mileage, in the city is where to is350 wins. but that is obvious.

cargo cap.- neither car wins here. both the same. they both hold two golf bags and a suit case in the trunk and that is it.

attention factor- isf wins here. i have had so many people come up and ask about the car or do double and triple takes when you drive by them. however since it is a lexus, a lot of times the car will go unnoticed as its just another car "grandma would drive".

overall- if i had to get rid of one of them, the 350 would be the one getting the boot. sorry is350 owners, but the isf is that much more enjoyable. in my opinion its not just like the is350 its a different car.

Now that's a change. Going from big and cushy to smaller and crisp.

Anything you miss about the big lux LS?
