Actual weight of the F?
A thread over on M3post got me to wondering if anyone had ever taken their F to the scales and got an accurate weight. If this has been posted in another thread that I missed please point me in the right direction. If you do have the weight data it would be useful to know how much gas you had in the car and what options your F is equipped with.

Thanks for the link.
According to that slip posted and assuming the car has ML/Nav the F weighs about the same as a similarly optioned E90 (sedan) M3. According to the thread on M3post an E90 M3 without a sunroof, but with nav, M-DCT, heated seats and premium sound weighs 3718 with a full tank of gas. The sunroof would add an extra 22 lbs.

The ISF weighs too much
Got back from Laguna and Skip Barber one day performance driving school.
The ISF is great overall but is really heavy (3770 without gas), mushy, and sways alot compared to real sports cars like the 911 and Exige S. You can see the strain on the front outside wheel and brake as the car corners. There isn't anything that can be done aside from taking stuff off or putting on stiffer coilovers and lowering the car.
I still love my F, but am saving up for a GT3RS.

I didn't compare it to the GT3RS.
I compared it to a plain old 997.
I'd love the GT3RS, obviously that is an entirely different animal.
Don't get me wrong, I love the ISF, great for commuting, recreational autocross, some tracking and hauling 2 carseats, a bob stroller, a 14 inch kiddie bike, tennis rackets, bats, and basketballs in the trunk.
It is what it is, a heavy sports sedan with lots of grunt.
