Default navi

is it me or does the navi blow? i mean 45% of the address i input the damn navi says that address does not exsist. WtF! And i am not entering all weird address in small places. I input large known places, such as company buildings, and even goverment buildings to search, and the stupid *** navi says it doesnt exsist. I hate this navi, acura navi system are so much easier and much smoother to use. Also is there something i am doing wrong, is it possible for the navi not to recognize so many places? I input the number on the line where it says HOME #. Is this just for houses? or all address? it seems weird to me that it asks for a home # and not just a address #

I've had some problems with it, but I've found that if you initially get an "address not found" or similar problem, 99% of the time it can be found if you work into it backwards. Try selecting the city area first, then the road, then the home #... sometimes changing the order you enter the address gives different results.

Same thing happened to me. You really need to study the instruction manual in order to enter addresses in this nav. It's not flexible at all.

yup! the navi could be immensely improved, as in the latest IS F model, but it does provide safety with its directions and making sure the car isnt getting lost. for the most part, ive been able to rectify the situation, but believe me, it takes some getting to know both the manual and the technology itself.

^^^ True, the functionality is one of the best, but the interface is not friendly.

I put in the number, then city, and the street usually comes up quickly.

You'll be playing with it forever is you put in the number then look for the street and city. Putting in the city before the street helps a ton.

same here, after number i usually go put in city first and then the street choices narrow down quickly and a lot more accurate

While I like the display and touch screen capabilities of our F's nav, the accuracy is far better on our MB....plus you can operate it fully while driving.

the navi does suck. I entered the poi for "LAFF STOP" in houston tx. And it took me 5 minutes away from the physical address. Also Laff stop has only been in one place ever. It never has moved it's location so I don't know why the navi would take me to some other address. What was worse was that laff stop won't let anyone into it's comedy club after 9 because they don't want you messing up the comedian. And it was 8:55 so I didn't have enough time to get there. Story case: Get directions from google maps instead instead of relying on Lexus's navigation abilities.

For you guys entering addresses is easy, down here I have to enter street numbers, then NW/SE/etc., then street name is another number... By the time you finish entering this confusing info the navi tells you that the address doesn't exist!

i always leave out those N W E S and let the system give me choices. Once it's narrowed down to about 10 choices I can then easily scroll through them. not saying it will be 100%, but at least that helped me on getting the location much easier
