I have the OEM brand socket and it works just fine with our sensor shields.

It's definitely not ideal, but you can get the job done just fine using jack stands. Removing the stock mufflers from the rubber hangers took a bit of finagling; I used a bit of WD-40 and a very large set of adjustable pliers. The real fun comes if your header-to-midpipe bolts are rusted in....

Borrow an O2 sensor tool set from your local AutoZone or similar store. No need to purchase it.
