Good for you that you took the high road and didn't stoop to the level of the people who tried to decieve you!
It's good, also, that you seem to have nice, honest neighbors in your community too. The people who struck your car and then tried to hide from and shirk their culpability will have to relive their dishonesty every time they see you and the neighbors who witnessed their action.

You must tell the insurance (your company and the police) ASAP so that they can handle any issues that may arise.
If you don't tell them, they can refuse coverage on an unreported incident and then repairs are on your shoulders.
Ignore the "intimidation" factor. It means nothing.

Splat that SUX!
Not sure how long you have been in FL. But this is a no fault state. Meaning no matter who's fault it is your insurance pays for your car and their insurance pays for their car. You do want to get a police report and hopefully she is cited (ticketed) for the accident. This will help if you or your insurance company want to sue (go after them in court) so that their insurance covers both vehicles. For this to happen you need to get her cited. Sorry but that is pretty much how it works in florida. They know it, that is why she is claiming you were "illegally" parked.
Good Luck.

^^ "NO Fault" would be more towards a moving traffic collision...
Like when both cars have drivers in them and are involved in an accident..
This lady hit a parked car.. Which would make her 100% at fault..
***PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY
How about if a kid was standing there??
She would have backed right over him or her too..![Sad](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/sad.gif)
This lady is careless and she is due to be 100% at Fault..
Sorry to hear about the damage Splat.. I would be on the phone with her insurance making sure it goes down that she hit you car, which was legally parked. Might as well mention that if a person or child was standing between her car and your car, she would have run over them too..
If this would have been HIT & RUN with witnesses, it would have been case CLOSED with the Police!!!!
Good Luck

update:
she finally realized that she didnt want to pay the 3g's out of pocket and gave me her insurance info. but she did try and play hard ball talking about police this and that and how im half responsible.
i reminded her that is only the case in traffic or moving violations. she hit a parked call and she realized she was 100% at fault. needless to say im now driving around a ****ty mustang convertible for a week till the car is fixed.
