Anyone know what size stem we have also? I currently am using an Escort 9500ix with Stealthcord and suction cup mounts. I hate that the suction cups come undone every so often.
I've had my 9500ix mounted with a countryjoycraft mount for several months and it works great. To answer your questions, you do need to remove the plastic ring that is over the stem (on the old mirror). Also, you need to order the 3/4" mount... that is the one that fits our mirror stem. Here is my setup.

After finding out about the blendmount in this thread I ordered one, it came in two days and I installed it in maybe 10 minutes!
Result is great! No more rattle against the windshield. The only drawback is that it seem to take a little longer to acquire GPS satellites.

timeToy, is that the new mirror in the F (did you have it changed from the factory/original mirror?) Did you have to remove anything on the mirror to install it like VSL-F had too?

It is not the new mirror, I just had to remove the little plastic clip that hold the wires, nothing major.

I got it from the same person. Does the mount shift left and right when you turn sometimes? Because mine doesn't stay put

Only problem with this is you lose the lower indicator and the mute button there.

9500ix is a great detector.

No, mine doesn't move unless I move it with my hand. It's not tight enough if it shift positions by itself.

Your cellphone charger draws more than 10 amps? 120+ watts? Surely you jest?

I've used my cellphone charger AND my V-1 at the same time for hours on end with never a problem. If plugging something in blows the fuse, there's something seriously wrong with the device you're plugging in. A cellphone charger typically draws about 500 milliamps or 0.5 Amps. That's not even close to enough to blow the fuse.

hey this is to all of you who have your V1 "hanging" under your mirror...........

Are you guys just not worried about theft and people breaking your window by proudly displaying the V1 there when parked? Yes I know the mount is sturdy and great view of the road ahead but what about when a cop walks up to your car and see's it hanging there when you are pulled over?

(before you guys tell me it's legal to possess one I KNOW, however you are 10x more likely to get a ticket if he sees a V1 mounted like that under your mirror)

I've had V1's for over 10 years in one car or another with no issues of theft. I've also been pulled over on a couple of occasions where the cop has seen it, and most recently got out of a 80 in a 55 mph ticket and all the cop said was " you know those things don't work right?".

I travel for work quite often and I even take a V1 on trips where I know I'm going to be driving a lot and parked with no problems.

Thanks for posting that pic on the first page. This is what I was looking for and had no idea that such a product existed.

I do have a question though, are you using the BlendMount with a hinge or without (it appears that your kit doesn't have the hinge but I'd like to make sure before buying one)?

+1. It's all black, so it really doesn't draw attention like you think it would. Plus it takes all of 3 seconds to remove and store if you so desire - disconnect the RJ45 cable and slide off the v1 mount.

I'm not sure what my kit is called (if it even has a name), but mine doesn't have the hinge. I'm not sure why it would require one because it's fully adjustable from the rear view mirror mount.
