2010 trade cancelled...keeping my08.
I have cancelled my trade in for the 2010 due to bad economy/recession issues. I feel like an idiot posting about the whole trade and not going for it nomore ... As Lexus's offer for the trade in was getting lower and lower as the wait continues for the 2010 to arrive, so I told them to shove it In the end it just wasn't worth it. Oh wells...I'll just have to wait and see like everyone else to see if the LSD can be retrofitted.
Good news though is after a long 4 month wait my Tein CS coilover system with edfc has arrived and will be getting installed sometime this week.
Will let u guys know how they feel once they are installed.

No need to feel like an idiot at all. If the Lexus dealership was jerking you around that is enough to back out of the deal by its self. As far as the economy goes, it never hurts to play it safe when it comes to being a little more fiscally conservative .

Bro, don't feel bad about not going with the 2010, economy is bad right now people should be saving money, lol its all good no embarassment don't worry about it. Nice Teins can't wait to see the finished product!

no need to feel as bad as you do man! as nice it would be to have a new '10 IS F, i think you got more for your money by not trading. aside from some minor details and the LSD, the '10 is still the same as the '08 IS F. plus, it saves you more on insurance cuz you'd be paying for a brand new car all over again. dont know bout some of you, but that rise in insurance in '08 was plenty enough for me.

Ya Lexus was offering me less while waiting for the 2010 to arrive. The math didn't sound good so I cancelled it. Also ya once I get the coils installed I'll let you know how it is. I'm pretty sure they'll be fine as the Import tuner tracked spec'd ISF uses the same Tein CS with edfc and Tanner Foust who raced the ISF at buttonwillow race event, while testing he said he had to soften the Tein CS Suspension cuz it was riding like a drift machine before softening it. That's why I decided to go and try out the Teins

Smart move on your part! Of course the dealer is going to low-ball you on your trade. A used/pre-owned IS-F is a hot commodity, particularly now when prospective buyers are eschewing new cars and opting for that market.
