Lexus released a safety advisory Monday; I called the Lexus Customer Assistance Center number (which was in the advisory) and was told to head in to the dealer, but I haven't bothered. Not sure what the dealer is going to do about it if there aren't replacements yet.

I'm aware of the ES350 issues, but I'm not really concerned about this because I just don't see how the mat could interfere with the accelerator.

I'm not sure what the fuss is all about???

I have the all-weather IS mats in my F and haven't had an issue ever and can't comprehend how it could become a problem?

For one the all-weather mats grab the cloth flooring very well....and for two, you're not heel/toeing it like in a manual so why should the mat be moving???

If I'm stomping on it, I'm pushing the mat forward....not pulling it back onto the accelerator?

So how many CL members have removed the floor mats in their F?

I just have the carpeted ones and I crawled in there and could not see how they could get caught up in the accelerator. For now I think it is mostly an over reaction but what have the rest of you done?

Nothing. I'm just driving my car and aware if something does go wrong that I need to stuff a foot under the accelerator and pull it up or jerk the mat back to release it.

Not me, but my wife took her's out. I told her she was being silly, but, oh well

Leaving mine in place for now; they lay perfectly flat and don't seem to move around so I don't see much chance of a problem. Plus, being aware of the problem helps you to be prepared if it does happen.

If they are used correctly, there shouldn't be any issues..

I am sure Lexus will release a redesigned driver side All Weather Mat..
And take all "user errors" into consideration.

My All Weather Mat is working just as designed.
