Didn't think I would... but I did.
Never in a hundred years did I think I would be buying one of these things but alas, I couldn't resist the offer. Did some quick calculations at home and after a long debate decided to pic this thing up after having transferred the IS F to the company's fleet as an asset.
Couldn't resist stopping to take some snapshots of the thing as I was driving back home. People are already gawking at it. Sorry for the crappy quality, they were taken with my Blackberry.
It's got the Premium package, full leather (there's leather EVERYWHERE), Bang & Olufsen sound system, navigation, &c. It's basically fully loaded save for the carbon fiber package. Still has 3 years left on the Audi Care program. 18,000 km on the clock.
LOVE IT.

It's a 2008 model year, V8 4.2 FSI with quattro AWD and the six-speed manual transmission which is truly an amazing gearbox. I absolutely love the gated shifter; the metal-against-metal clunking sound it does with every gear change reminds me of back when my dad had his 1991 Ferrari 348, where he'd just slam gear after gear. As far as I know they call the color Daytona Gray. I wanted the Ibis White but you don't exactly get to choose.
As previously mentioned it has the Premium package which includes Audi hill-holder (which is a nice little tool), auto-dimming side mirrors, bluetooth capabilities and the parking system/rear-view camera which is a MUST because this thing is a pain in the *** to park. It also has the enhanced leather package which is basically Nappa leather on every possible trim piece in the cabin. It's a very nice touch. I also have the Bang & Olufsen sound system, which is simply brilliant.
I bought the car from an old geezer and he ships the thing down to Florida every year, so I know it was taken good car of. Time and date in the instrument cluster does not work though. It's stuck at the date and time you see on there... I'll have to bring it in next week to see what's up with that. Might just be the ECU needing a reflash.

It's a lot of hard work and determination... and of course some parental support. I honestly wouldn't be where I am today if there wasn't my father before me and if he hadn't bought me a Tim Hortons franchise. Still a lot of work nonetheless... more than you can imagine.

I've had Japanese cars all my life and the lack of a manual gearbox in the GT-R simply didn't cut it for me. I wouldn't trade this gated boot for anything in the world, except the DSS in the IS F. It's so satisfying. You have a nice ride nonetheless, and you're also faster than I am! Haha.
