Lightbulb I've just been 'RAPPED ~ in carbon fiber that is :)

Took two days of work and I learned something new as the properties of this new CF material is amazing...I'm going to do some more wraps of small items as the possibilities are endless

I started out with the inspiration to do the roof courtesey of another CL member but then my imagination went wild and now the car is an entirely different animal. The car is 10x more aggresive and just not a plain old white IS-F anymore.

One thing Lexus lacked is a bit more aggresive flair that the C63 AMG and M3 coupes enjoyed. I know this setup is not for everyone but here's a few areas of improvements the carbon fiber improved:

a) Rear diffuser is now complete, perfect mix of clean and not overly aggresive like the WALD rear CF diffuser. The matte CF really cleans up the rear area between the oval tips

b) Side mirrors are now a 2-tone (white/CF) similiar to the e92 m3 coupe

c) Front flippers and OEM fog lights covers are now Carbon Fiber to complete the front end to tie into the rear CF theme

d) The complete black matte CF roof and shark fin adds enough contrast to give it a more sport appearance!

Now I just need to get the wheels to complete this car

More pics!!! I'd love to see what you've done with the mirrors, as I am planning the same. How difficult was it to apply the wrap to a curved surface? If you had to stretch it, was there any deformity of the CF pattern?

I suggest anybody who decides to use the CF wrap to take it to a body shop for some clear coat.

But then again, if a dull finish is what you're looking for, cool.

Great job with the creativity!

3M i think.... neffy wrap is not recommended for outdoor usage.

More pix more pix!
If my car wasn't black I would've gone crazy with that idea too =)
