Default thinking about trading is350 for the F

Hello guys, I've owned the is350 for about a month. Car runs fine except for some rattle in the dashboard and interior.

Just a question, for those that have traded in their is350 for the F, what are the advantages and disadvantages? Any dramatic changes in fuel consumption, insurance premium, drive ability, etc.?

I'm thinking about trading in the is350 for one, not sure if I really need to. The car will be a daily driver. Any opinions and thoughts? Thanks

I traded my IS350 daily driver to the IS-F.......

I have also participated in this Lexus Focus Group.

Great marketing approach...

Traded the 350 for the F. Fuel economy is less. Brakes are a lot more expensive. Insurance is a bit more but not a LOT more.

Everything else is just plain better IMHO.

The only negative I can see is thinner wallet, especially since you've only had 350 for a month?

dude, it's inline w/ the $165 synthetic oil change, the $1000 tires, etc.

Just like everything else, you can change the pads yourself and buy something that wears better to keep the maintenance down.

I honestly dont see how fuel consumption is more for the IsF!!! Maybe if you do all city driving then thats possible, dude, MY F is averaging 19mpg mix driving with 25mpg average for highway. My Is250awd was doing 15mpg city and 25mpg all highway so its about the same as an F I cant imagine a 350 being less fuel consuming than the 250... Brake pads are not expensive at all if you use factory alternative like Hawks or Ferrodo and replace them yourself... Rotors, if you search in this forum are $109 each made by Raybestos. 10quarts of non synthetic oil cost $25 and the filters another $15? And, No you dont absolutely have to spend $300 for the oem bridgestone tires. there are many $200 All season alternative tires..... Both cars are going to require premium, so you decide for yourself,,,, Oh, one thing to do if you do buy the F,,,, buy the tire and wheel package for $750-1000 from the dealer and you are well protected against accidental road hazards... The rims are around $2000 a piece..

Im loving that BILLBOARD! I just got a $400 ticket in the mail... Got it the first day i took delivery of the vehicle and its sooooooo WORTH IT! LMAO! But seriously, The cars great! Reliable with plenty of power. 8Spd tranny helps on the gas. Co-Worker got 400+ on full tank coming back from vegas to cali. Insurance isnt that bad. The only downside? Too much attention! LOL

Why buy a 400hp $60k just to put on some junk raybestos brakes and all season tires? I'm not saying you need to empty your savings account whenever its time to replace wear items, but really?
