Unhappy Brakes noise

Hi guys!

I have an ISF 2008 and I just want to know if it's normal that every time that I use the brakes at slow speed, I hear the noise from the barkes if it were finished but when I brake at high speed, no noise...

Anyone experiences the same thing? it's annoying...

Thanks!

Ian

Did you perform brake bed-in?

I got my F in march, it squeaked for like 2 months, then went dead slient when the temps hit 100+ degrees every day. Now that it is cooling off, the squeaks are back. wtf

Anyways, the only solution to the problem is to go with ceramic brake pads which have the side benefit of less dust...but also less bite and probably less performance. Everything is a tradeoff on a performance vehicle.

Thank you everyone for the replies. What's a brake bed-in?

I also get intermittent brake noise. I was concerned until I had it in for my most recent service and there is tons of brake life left. Small annoyance, imo....these are still far better than what you get from some of the competitors.

I have this same problem and on the last oil change had the dealer take a look at it. Brake pads were still in good shape.. The service guy said there was nothing they could do and it was normal.

I think its funny pulling up to the dealership. First this car turns heads because of the looks and then with the loudest squealing brakes but hey, thats normal

I asked about having them install aftermarket brake pads and they would not do it. Has this been changed on the 2010's?

For a temporary solution, try doing a couple of hard stops at low speeds. That should make the noise go away for awhile. It works for me. But then you'll have to clean your wheels afterwards because 10 pounds of brake dust just sprayed on them. LOL.

Hardest part is find an empty stretch high way. To properly perform a brake break-in procedure: bring up optimum heat temperature and allow proper brake cooling before coming to a complete stop.
