Default New To me ISF

Hey everyone- just want to introduce myself as the proud new owner of a 2008 Charcol Metallic(I think thats the color)ISF. My other cars are a little older and the wife wanted a 4 door sedan so we started looking about 2 months ago and chose between a 2009 Caddi CTS-V and a 2010 Corvette Grand Sport, we have a 1992 Corvette ZR-1 as our high speed cruiser and a 94 325is as a DD.

Well yesterday morning online I saw a 08 ISF for sale in Pleasanton Ca with 13k miles for 49k. We live in Redding so its about a 3hr drive. Called the dealer they said it would be put aside for us and off we went. Got there about 3:15 pm and went for a short drive came back negotiated them down to 45k drew up the paper work signed some things and was headed back home at 6pm. But before we even left the lot we had someone offer us a $1000.00 more than we paid for it if we would sell it to them. If there were another one somewhere close by I may have done it.

The wife drove the IS-f and i drove the vette. This is a very nice ride I love to mod things and really looking foward to being a part of the Lexas group.

I will post up pics when I get it cleaned up again it rained on the drive back.
Have a great thanksgiving.
Billy

Congrats on the new ride.
I wonder who is turning in all these ISF's. They must be nutz. If I got one of those cars I would keep it forever.

there's a black on black 08 with 18k miles at my local dealership (fremont)

when i looked at it, i noticed it's missing the shiftknob... :P

Maybe, they took it off for a reason? but, i wouldnt buy a pricey car, that has no shiftknob or anything. If i went bought a pricey car, i would have to have everything perfect, when i get it from a dealership. I mean everything flawless.. If a nice used car too. cause thats alot of money to throw away. ha

WOW thanks for the warm welcome, I love this car there are so many features I have not had in the past,FOB,bluetooth,2 ways to manual shift you guys know and i am still learning. I do know that at the Lexus dealers we went to all the shift **** are removed and we test drove a couple with out the *** but I dont remeber why.

Ok I am sure this has been asked but other than buying an aftermarket device for $300.00 is there a way to override the dvd saftey feature?
Thanks again.

There is way to override the navigation besides purchase an aftermarket device, but you will have to take out the system and cut some wires.

I would recommend purchase the aftermarket unit from the Vendor Forums.

Because cutting the head unit wires would deff. void the warranty incase something goes wrong the future.

Congrats on the new F...and welcome to CL.

There's a wealth of info on this forum, including some DIY on the changes you're looking for. The search function should help you find what you need.

Dealerships often remove the shiftknobs when they put the car in the showroom.

To the OP, congrats on the purchase. I noticed the prices went up a little on used ones now that the 2010 ones are out and more expensive.
