Lexus IS-F with DRL LED's...delete fogs perhaps?
#18
The 6000k DRL's inside the headlights are from VLED along with a booster circuit so they do NOT flicker - that was driving me nuts with the flicking if you just install the bulb.
I'll have some better pictures with the fogs / headlights once the weather warms up a bit - we actually had snow here in norcal!

Audis are not the only ones that are doing the LED's in the headlight/Foglight housings, they might have started it, but its everywhere now
Now, for the IS, we need to find a better way cause it looks tacked on, which i guess it is, but needs to flow better with the lines fo the car. Maybe remove the foglight housing and go from there

I'm not sure on that one - have to go home and look at the headlight up close! In all honesty either set I'm sure is plenty bright. I plan to do this to my other cars that have DRL once I get time.
DRL was designed for safety in mind to get other driver's to notice you. The pure white glow from these LED's make your car super noticeable while driving in daytime so it serves a good purpose too

(well in Japan anyways)
Here is how they looked on my US Spec 2008 IS350... It was my favorite mod!!
These housings will eventually end up in my IS-F bumper, once I find some time to take off the bumper
and make some modifications for a customized fit.

The fog housing look cool but you would definitely need to remold/shape the IS-F bumper to fit that fog housing.
The IS-F fog housing has a molded mount so all of that needs to be cut out and then sanded to fit the new LED fog piece. Basically no matter how you look at it, won't be a cheap affair....I thought about going that route at one point.

the fogs on the 350 looked really great. i immediately thought about what it would look like on the F, aside from the different housing look. definitely gives it a more intricate appeal up front.

Very nice work, have to see them with the fogs on though, right now without the fog lights on it looks pretty clean, the straight diagonal one, I'm not really feeling the curved one. With the fog lights on, it may be a deal breaker as there might be too much going on down there, but post some pictures with that so we can give you our opinion good job anyhow.

This is why I wired the setup to come on "independent" of the fogs
(my thoughts exactly it might look too busy with both fogs/DRL's) Dunno about you guys but I rarely have my fogs on anyways so for DD, it's perfect with headlights and the LED's.
I tested the angled setup as suggested via Photoshop by one of the CL members and it looks too busy - again it's personal preference when you are doing custom mods but I never liked the newer Audi setups with angled LED strips - looks goofy to me.
For my taste, LED's should be a perfect straight line that follows the lines of the car. Anything more and it starts to look odd to me....
I agree the IS-F LED's do not extend long enough but for now I have no more room without cutting / modifying the oem bumper. I think this is why my honda s2000 headlights were so successful:
