great perspective. its a great thing to know that after two years of the F being introduced, there are really no problems with the car, aside from the lack of mods available at a reasonable cost. sure the wheel pitting on some cars as well as the brakes producing dust (which is fine IMO for a high performance vehicle)- but when it comes down to it, electrical, engine, and powertrain all intact. no problems means happy customers indeed!

we will be coming up on 2 years in feb and to date we are still on the factory Bridgestones and brake pads. Last year we sold my wifes car and she took control of it. She ablsolutly loves it and I have a hard time even getting in it to drive it. We have had not one problem with the car at all other than my wife getting nails in the tires which Lexus took care of. On a recent trip this thanksgiving to North Carolina I finally got the chance to drive it again and it was pure joy. It was rock solid in the twisty mountians outside of Ashville but very comfortable on the interstate. Since I had not driven it in awhile I was shocked at the acceleration of it. Very smooth. Even with my lead foot we averaged 26MPG with it on that trip.
We were going to sell the ISF since I had the GTR coming in but I am very glad we kept the car. For a first year run of the car (2008) it has been problem free which is rare these days for a performance vehicle. My only wish is that there would be more of a performance aftermarket available for it. Another 70-100 rwhp would be sick with this car.

Congrats flip...and good write up.
Good assessments from the other guys as well!
I too have had an above average experience with my F over the last 16 months. I have ridiculous mileage on mine already (hence adding the third vehicle to the garage) at 25 000 miles.
Other than the one time mystery electrical issue and the dealer induced caliper problem...I haven't had any other problems. I have 60% front and 90% rear brake life remaining and my PS2's should make it one more season.
It's been a ton of fun so far, but I do hope that Lexus brings more F's to their line up. I don't need anymore power, but could use a little more room in the future.

21k miles, car is 53 weeks in my hands. No issues despite a track weekend and plenty of seat time. Still have OEM pads left, but I'm getting tired of their squeaking at very low speeds and don't feel like waiting to put the Carbotech Bobcats much longer.
Tires are nearly dead, and it's pretty obvious there's too much toe out in the front. Center tread is still 5mm, but inside edges are almost down to belts. The track weekend killed the outer shoulder blocks so the tires look like they've been terribly underinflated, but nothing could be further from true.
Still 100% happy with my purchase. Next up - LSD install (hopefully soon!)
