Newbie Questions
Hi Everyone...
I am fairly new to Lexus and CL. Since September I have become pretty familar with the manufacturer (I have a 2007 GS350, 2009 IS250, 2010 RX350). I am looking to trade in the IS250 for an IS-F. Is there a big difference between 2008 vs. 2009? Anyone have an opinion on color and options I should look into? All your help, suggestions and constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

2008 vs. 2009, no not much difference at all, just color schemes really. 2010 has some mechanical differences (redesigned skid control, limited slip from the factory, different wheels). If you're looking at '08 and '09, just find your best deal.

there isnt a whole lot in terms of differences between the 08 and 09. as stated by lobuxracer, the exterior and interior trims may be different (adding terra cotta in 09 as an option). you're best bet would be to find an 08 with fairly low miles. that would save you thousands on auto insurance alone, considering 09 isnt even over.
in terms of color choices, i have a preference of obsidian (black). i know it attracts dust, swirls, and the such more than any other F color, but i see that as a great challenge to keep it shining as often as possible. if obsidian cannot be had, starfire pearl or smoky granite mica would be my next options. i would say ultrasonic blue, but because that was the IS F's premier color option, i doubt there would be few if not some for sale at this point. anyways, best of luck!
