Good to hear that Lexus decided to replace both headlamps.
OT... What's bothersome to me is that Lexus of SM had a brand new 08 sitting on the lot in Dec. 09. That's nuts. And to think that it may have been sitting on the lot as long as I have had my car. In fact, I might have seen it when I was shopping for the F. Yikes.
Quick question.. if I have clear bra over my headlamps, technically they are safe from oxidation right? I know the clear bra material is porous, so I wonder if that has any effect.

the mothers product really does work. used it on my other cars when there was some headlight oxidation. fortunately, nothing on the F. i knew that too much sun exposure might create an oxidation effect, but theres no avoiding the sun here in so cal (not including the previous month of so of odd weather).

OP.....Thats awesome that the dealer was willing to replace your defective headlight lens.
Over and over with the common use of these plastic lenses you will see this beggining to happen. It is best regardless of where you live or drive to maintain these acrylic surfaces to include taillights as well on a regular basis.
From the day you purchase your vehicle, maintain a fresh coat of wax or sealant on these surfaces regularly and in between washing and waxing maintain with Plexus. This will help extend the life expectancy of your headlight lens clarity and overall finish. Or you may opt to wrap them with Invisible Bra material, but you must still maintain with Plexus. If and when they do begin to fail, there are many headlight lens restoral options to make them like new again.

I have another dilemma guys. So I'm currently at the dealer right now to pick up my car after the headlamps were replaced. Before leaving, I noticed that on right side of the bumper there's a big gap. They're claiming that since the bumper was taken off, the clips became loose and since they're part of the bumper there is little to no relief. They are currently working to see how they can best make it fit back into place. Question is for those who haven taken off their front bumper before. Is this normal? What can be done? Any comments/suggestions are highly appreciated.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The part with the clips is probably broken and they don't want to replace it. It's a $75 part for each side. When I got a quote to reshoot my bumper cover after I scratched it, the body shop said these clips break fairly often, so they included it in my quote.
