Talking DYNOD my car for the First time...=)

Im down here in south florida. Tempeture is around 50. Took my car to a Dyno Jet. All I have is a K&N intake. I dont have a scanner and the picture I have of the printout on my Black Berry is pretty crapppy but I was happy with the numbers to say the least. Max Power = 399.48 Max Torque = 380.88

yeah considering it has 416 at the flywheel, that means you only lost 17 hp to the wheels?

What shop did you go to? Best recommendation i could give you for a redyno is AWD. Give Mike a call and you'll get great service.

I bet it's not SAE and 5 smoothing.

Maybe it's a 15% calculated corrected number at the flywheel?

Why do we all assume that the IS-F has 416hp at the flywheel? Because Lexus said so? I remember a friend of mine owning an L-88 Corvette that was advertised at 430hp. In actuality, that car made well over 500hp at the flywheel. Has anyone ever actually dyno'd the engine by itself? (Just a thought)

I don't think we are concerned any with FW HP, rather the fact that STOCK ISF's make in the 340 rwhp range SAE smoothing 5...so for this car to be at 60 rwhp more with just an intake, there is a problem.

Hey Peter,

Hope all is well..

Base and/or bone stock IS-F's have been averaging 350 Rwhp when Dyno'd on a DynoJet and using the correct 6th gear..
