2010 Factory Limited Slip

2010 Factory Limited Slip
Well I have done some research and this is what I have come up with.
The 08-09 differential is a FD21A. This differential has a conical spring that applies pressure to the sliding area of the side gear to help engage both wheels at once.
The 2010 has the FD21AT which is a torsen limited slip. From what I can tell that differential should bolt directly into the 08-09, either as the carrier internally or as the whole assembly.
The carrier it self is lists for $3,932.63
The entire differential assembly lists for 4,313.07
What do you guys think is it worth it to you as the customer for me to look into getting them?

If you ask me honestly,, forking out approx $5500 installed for a lsd, I might as well trade in my 08 and fork out $15k for a 2010.. its $10k difference, but Im gettin a car thats 2 years newer, no miles, FACTORY WARRANTY from scratch again, and updated navi, etc....

Installation on the whole assembly is 8.5 hours. So doing the whole assembly would be about the same price as it would with the labor for disassembly of the diff it self. Also these are MSRP not what I could offer the piece for. I am just trying to get a feel for what you the customer want. I just found the other thread already talking about this I don't know how I missed it when I looked before. Sorry for the double post.

its about 4k just for the LSD itself, not including the labor and installation. for me at least, id still stick with my 08. dont see the need to retrofit the LSD in an older F model because it wont be under the factory's warranty. much more peace at mind to get the '10 F if you wanted the LSD that comes under warranty.

exaclty! there are a bunch if ppl pushin 500hp from nitrous or forced induction, but can't seem to best a 1/4 mile time. I think someone needs to look at our torque converters, or whatever else could cause this.

I can do the just the 2010 carrier for $2,850 and I can do the whole assemble for $3,100. Now according to my dealer this part should be warrantable if its installed by the dealer.
