This has to be a headset issue. I've gone through all iPhone generations, and with all of them the call is immediately transfered to the headset once the car is shut down. Same thing happened with my ex-gf LG's smartphone, the call was smoothly transfered to the phone. As many other people have stated, if I'm in a call and I turn the car on, the call is transfered to the car as soon as the BT connection is established.
