Cell phone call dropped when engine turned off
I ABSOLUTELY HATE the Porsche navi system and user interface. It's clunky, unintuitive, and complex. You can't imagine how many windows I have to navigate to dial a number. Lexus is decades more advanced than Porsche's nav and I have PCM 3.0 which is supposed to be much improved. However, there is one feature that I find superior to the Lexus system. When I'm talking on the phone and I park and turn off the car, the call is simply dropped. When I park the Porsche and turn it off, the PCM keeps the call and then asks me if I want to transfer it to my cell. Am I missing something on the Lexus or was that feature poorly designed?
Similarly, if I'm listening to the radio, but I arrive at my destination, is there a way to turn off the engine, yet keep the radio on?

Put the transmission in neutral and shut the engine off. It will put you in accessory mode and your call will stay live. Alternatively, press the Transfer button on the screen and your call will disconnect from bluetooth and transfer back to the phone.
I do this all the time.

Thats weird... My call stays active on my iPhone when I shut it off... I just have to tap on headset on the phone.
And when I get in the car and turn it, my call transfers to the bluetooth automatically.

I've got a 32gig iPhone and when the car is turned off, the call is simply dropped. Thanks for the advice about shifting to neutral. I did not know about that.

This must vary from handset to handset because my samsung instinct clicks a couple times and then automatically transfers back to the phone. The whole process takes about 6 seconds. The same thing happens when you get in the car if you are on a call.

I'm pretty sure they all automatically connect unless you configure your phone to prompt.
I know mine connected while going down the freeway driving my Supra with my friend driving my F and I lost the conversation. I had to get far enough away so the BT could not connect.

I normally use the transfer call function on the NAV interface.
If I remember correctly the sequence while in a call is:
press info
press phone
press transfer call
you have to be in park or stopped I think
Should pass call from bluetooth to handset so you can shut off engine without interruption
