Foot (Parking) Brake Question
Was wondering if everyone's foot break is weak? I noticed that when mine is pressed down all the way the car still moves pretty fast (w/o accelerating of course). Dont know if all F's are like this or mine just needs some adjusting.
Thanks

I felt my parking brake was weak from day 1... Can easily drive off with it on if you wanted. I asked them to tighten it at my first service, which they did, but it still isn't as strong as I'd prefer or as other vehicles I've owned.

Actually I brought mine back to the dealer three times, before they tightened it up enough. They said they went beyond the factory specs to get it tight enough so that it would actually hold the car.
Oh, and this is a common issue with the IS line. My wife's ES has always had a strong EBrake.

for the dealer to say something that weak, it says that they arent willing to go the extra mile to satisfy the customer's request. i dont think my foot brake is weak at all. i accidentally tried driving with it on, and it simply did not budge- just made the revving noise.

Tell the dealer to get it right!
My dealership has a nice incline going to the top of the building where they park cars. The first time they adjusted the brake (not break) it slid all the way down the incline almost causing a collision. They finally got it right and the brake holds like gorilla glue on a cold morning! Yes, it can be adjusted properly!

Bring it in to have it adjusted. My parking BRAKE on my 09 IS F felt pretty soft after about a few months of driving. It now feels good as new.
