Default My Dilemma

Hey guys, So I bought my 08 250 about 4 months ago and I been really happy with it, at the time i was buying my car I really dint care about speed and hp. After joining this forum I got the mod bug and did quite few mods to my car. Its a nice car but still slow lol. Now my problem is I really want to get the IS-F. Everytime i come to this forum it makes me even more impatient. All i do is look at youtube videos and dream about it. I been looking for a used white is-f but there are none in my area.I drive about 15 miles a day to work and basically sit in traffic both ways. So my question is it worth to :

Trade my car and get the IS-F as soon as I find a white one? OR
Should I enjoy my car for few years then trade till the new body style comes?

Waiting for your opinions....

Stop coming to this forum and watching the videos Seriously, enjoy your car, build some equity and then trade. Your tastes may have changed by then.

you should enjoy what you drive...if you can afford it, get the ISF...waiting for the future does not alway work. at the end of the day, you're keep spending on mods but still you will want the F.

enjoy your ride. save up for the F, and whatever you do, take out all your aftermarket parts BEFORE you trade it in for an F. that way you could always resell your parts and use it towards a down payment on your white F as well. hope your search goes well. the starfire pearl is an excellent color choice.

Why not get a 350 to hold you over?

Well, the good thing is that it looks like you bought your 250 used, which means that you won't have to take the massive resale value hit from buying and selling a new car. If you only owned the car for 4 months, you should be able to sell it without losing significant money (Depending on whether you bought it private party or through a dealer). So if you want the F, then go for it. Good luck.

This sounded like me couple of months ago. I had about 2 years going into my new 08 IS250 starfire pearl, but was itching to get an F. I couldn't stop watching youtube videos of the F, and by the way, I wish there were more videos.

Some finances cleared up so I decided to pull the trigger. All I can say is I'm glad I made the jump. Sure I could only afford a used F, but I still love it. Previous owner did not take great care of it, but I am taking great care of it now. I guess the only difference between our situations is you just go the 250, but then again, you got it used so it couldn't have cost as much as when I bought mine new.

u seem to be like i was 7 months ago. i had a 06 IS250 AWD. traded her in for the F and never looked back. i'm glad i made the switch and even though it was a used F im still havin fun drivin it now. only thing is i wish there is more aftermarket parts available but time will change that soon. if you have the money and u can afford it, i say pull the trigger but if ur not lookin for another car bill then don't.

thank you very much for your opinion guys..I love the starfire pearl color since I have a GFM on my is250. As far as resale value for it. I am not losing that much since i got a great deal on my IS250. I actually got an offer for the same amount of money I paid last week from a lexus dealer. I was like wow thats y I am tryna make the move. I am really looking for the Starfire pearl IS-F and cant find one in my area at all...ahhh..But I know I am not gonna look back since I love the IS line and specially LEXUS
