Does anyone know what is the least expensive "rally" to enter? Would like to do something like that, but don't want to pay $20k to enter the Bullrun or more for Gumball.

I dont think there is one. I tried searching in google cause I would love to do a cross country one in the US!!

There are a bunch. I was thinking about doing one this year but decided to go to 2k10 instead. here is one that i strongly considered.

A friend of mine did the Aka Rally in 2008 in a E36 M3. He had a blast for relatively cheap, but relatively cheap is still quite expensive once you factor car prep, maintenance on the road, hotels, booze, fines and lawyers fee...

why don't you try entering the show Bullrun? I'm sure there is some degree of sponsorship involved

Gumball i still think would be the best time of your life (if you can get past the more than the ISF entry fee). It's well prepped, fun as hell and they even hire bikes to try and take some of the heat away from the participants.
