how did you do it with out pulling the motor? did you just undo the motor mounts and jack up the motor?

Good job Elite, that's what I wanted to hear, a header installation without pulling the engine up... unless you pulled the chassis down? LOL

on the dyno video what happened to the torque curve?? The plot looks weird to me, maybe some of the guru's can chime in.

I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering WTF? That torque curve is about the ugliest baby I've ever seen - ever worse than the sequential twin turbos on the MkIV Supra. I don't know what he was aiming for, but the huge dip in the middle is not something I'd find confidence inspiring when exiting a corner.

Sure the big number looks good, but the rest of it to get there is a big

The torque lines do look horrible and nothing like what they should with that rollercoaster look. Something else I notice from the graph is that the rpms are off by about 400. The graphs shows they took it up to 7000rpm when it actually goes up to around 6600. The HP lines look similar to what we see on Dynojets, but shifted higher by about 400rpm.

So it looks like the engine speed was not properly calibrated on the dyno, the torque lines are wacky as hell and the hp lines are shifted higher due to the bad calibration. On the positive note we do see a consistent appearance between the baseline run and the headers run so the gains are definitely there, but not in a pretty fashion.

I have been talking to the owner of the car who lives relatively local to me and he said that he would be interested to dyno his car on the dynojet at the facility I do my testing. This all won't occur probably for another week though.

Default engine pull?

Well I could not take the intrigue any longer so I pull all of the shielding off the underbelly of my F yesterday while I had it up on the lift. I have to say that if I had to remove the exhaust manifolds of this car I would support the engine from above and remove the engine sub-frame/cross-member which includes the power steering rack. Once all of this is removed I would simply unbolt the motor mounts and the motor mount mounting brackets from the engine. That should be all there is to removing the exhaust manifolds.
