OMG not another thread on this hideous plate holder! I saw these floating around the BMW forums and just plain ugly IMO. If you must run a plate just use the oem license plate holder. This is as rice as those guys with pickups that put on their plate at a 45 degree angle on their pickup bed ~yuck!
I seriously dunno why you guys who use front plates just use 2 strips of 3M double sided tape. IT's rock solid and never comes off until you want it to, and no holes drilled plus it's cheap.
We worked on one client's m3 where we used small embedded magnets in his bumper. Each magnet is 1/8" diameter, use 4 of them in the corners and the plate will just magically stick like glue when you need it, remove it when at cars shows, etc.
