Not sure if this will work on the F but what I have done in the past when I needed to separate the lens from the housing on other cars was to heat the light assembly a bit with a heat gun or oven, (this helps to soften the adhesive) then simply apply a bit if air pressure to one of the holes for the bulbs, this "usually causes the lens to pop off, just remember a LITTLE air pressure goes a LONG way! It usually turns out MUCH better than the lens prying method.

Update: 3/12/10

The car was picked up earlier today and the overall look turned out better than expected ~ I love it!

Here's a shot of the plethora of bulbs that were to be replaced. New bulbs on left, old bulbs on right. Includes: LED parking bulbs, 6000k D4S xenon, LED DRL with booster, PIAA turn signal bulbs hyperwhite, and LED parking light strips

Of course we also sand-blasted and had the inners done in gloss black with clear coat and smoked the turn signal lenses. Oh the amber sides were also painted gloss black:

Hey.. ive got a quick question...
how long did it take you to take headlamps apart after you pulled it off from bumper...
can u quickly explain process ??

i've tried putting LEDs at the bottom of the headlight between bumper and the bottom of light it just looked really ugly...
i think this will look very nice...
