Could not make it back this weekend. perhaps today. Sucks that the dyno rate is nearly double of what it is on a "dyno day"

For those of you interested I saw that AFE/Takeda just released a black (instead of polished tube) version of the IS F intake.

For those interested, I just had a short trip from Abq. NM to Cheyenne Wy with the AFE installed. Average altitude is around 5k - 7k so the car was working hard during the trip but I still managed from 23 to 26 traveling approx 85mph each way. Battled a crosswind both ways so I thought the mpg I averaged was really good considering the conditions. Car felt responsive anytime I needed it considering I drove 7,5 to 8 hrs straight with plenty of opportunity for heat soak. My impression of the intake is positive and I won't be removing it anytime soon.

Good to hear, Clifftrail.....That was good mileage for those conditions and speed.
I'm looking forward to mine when it arrives this week and will post up my impressions soon after.

Trying to get back this week. Last Friday did not work out and Thursday I was just too late ( they had a TT S4 good for 600WHP that had the dyno for the day and left 2 hrs early.). That is good info Cliff pure hwy miles is good data. I have not been able to get a full hwy tank, but my average is still down for some reason. Perhaps a poor gas curse.

Takeda released the black and polished versions at the same time with the B or P designation in the part number.

Good to hear, TD...I just got mine today from Figs and am anxious to fit it.
By the looks of it and from what I've heard from owners, I'm going to like it a lot.

I have been buried and cannot get to editing it up. Maybe while I am on a plane this week.
