AFE Pro Dry Horsepower Increase?
Does anyone know what just the AFE Pro Dry drop in filter by itself will give the F in gains of horsepower? They claim a gain of 60% better air flow. But I wonder what that translates to in terms of horsepower.

HP Increase
I don't think I've answered my own question on a forum before, but I finally found pretty conclusive evidence of what just adding the AFE Pro Dry drop in filter by itself will give you in terms of horsepower increase. I finally typed the right phrasing in Google. I found that there were several guys installing these in their trucks. Based on my findings, I would say that the drop in alone will give us about 2 to 3 horsepower at best. But if someone has a dyno on just the drop in alone on an F, that would be great.

I'm bumping this up. It would actually be very interesting to see the power difference between using this drop-in only, vs. the Takeda intake with the tube and the AFE cone. Any chance of adding this comparison to the intake shootout as a bonus?
My experience with this filter is actually similar to owner feedback from the Takeda. It seems like the torque comes in at a wider rpm range and there is less kick at 4k because the build up is smoother.
Not sure that the actual gains are significant, but I wouldn't draw a conclusion based on comparisons with people dropping these in their trucks. Different cars have different responses to mods.
