Question Tint film advice for a "slightly" darker tint on GTR headlights?

I know Aerotect is a sponsor on here and many of you have used their produts so figured I'd ask here first.

I'm trying to tint the GTR headlights but don't want the ghetto dark look but just a slight hint of smoked sorta like how the AMG SL55 tails are done.

Aerotect has both "smoke" and "steel" film - have you guys used either one and anyone have samples of it on their headlights? How thick is this material?

I might do my IS-F as well since the heads look too bright (chrome area) - hoping some of you have used either of these films on your IS-F....

TIA fellas

i went with aerotect, they sent me samples because I wanna make the right decision like urself
I went with tint, rather then steel or smoke
didnt wanna go too dark
and steel does just that in my opinion and smoke is too much for me
I may regret my decision once i finally get them on
but time will tell

Here is a shot of the Optic Blue from Aerotect!!!

On my Heads & Fogs

Well besides the Optic Blue, they have 3 more... Smoke, Steel & Tint

Smoke is darkened by 30%
Steel is darkened by 10%
Tint is darkened by 5%

For the head lights I would choose between Tint & Steel...
They use the Smoke mainly on the tail lights.

Regards,

Thanks fellas!

Yea I know smoke is too dark for the look I want but harder to decide between tint and steel....

Tails because of the red lense tends to look darker too - with headlights they are mostly clear so steel/tint would be ideal.

JoeZ I really like the optic blue to0!

hahahaf: Are you applying this to your tails or headlights as this makes a difference?

hmm samples is a good ideal I will ask them for some test pieces too....!

Decisions, decisions...haha

i like the look of the optic blue headlights! very good touch, joe! but if you're looking for a darker color, tint would be the way to go. the other options might appear too dark for the headlights.

my headlights have "tint" from aerotect on them.. I personally think anything darker would have too much effect on headlight's light output..
