Default Anyone? Bridgestone Potenza RE-070

I had a set of these Bridgestone Potenza RE-070 on my 07 Acura TL-S, 6sp, and they seemed pretty good on that car, however, that is not even close to the performance of my IS-F, so i wonder if anyone is ISF land has a set of these? or has had any experience with them on an ISF? They come stock on the Nissan GTR, and S2000 CR, and i think some of the STi's, or Lancers.

Im running Nitto Invos right now with the standard sizing, and am needing tires soon, and plan to up the width a little, and liked these on my TL, but wondering about them on my ISF, any insight?

Thanks!

I had these tires on my STI (387whp). On the STI, I've worn out two sets on trackdays and have used them on my Audi TT Roadster for daily and on track too.

As a road tire, it looks fantastic but rides a bit hard. Paired with the right rim width, the tire looks every bit "square". There is a bit of noise but in the Lexus, that shouldn't be much of an issue as the IS-F's cabin is rather quiet. In the wet, it isn't very good.

Bridgestone RE070's best feature is the stiff sidewall it holds up well during cornering. The 140 treadwear rating is for real. the tire runs out rather quickly and it tends heat up and lose grip.

I have Bridgestone RE-11 tires hat i use for mixed road/track duty. These are everything I look for in tires. Lots of wet traction, performance in the dry, handles heat well, rides quietly and looks great. You may wish to look for these for your F. I just got my IS F a month ago and when the tires run out, I'll get a set of these RE-11 tires.

This tire is not an option for us. It's available in only three sizes, all of them 17"

ya i found that out, that i couldnt find them in the size i want, which is weird, because the Nissan GTR comes stock with them, and i think those are 19s, maybe 20's? maybe they're only avail as an OEM tire?

The GT-R OEM is a specially-designed Bridgestone 20" runflat.

EDIT: looking it up, they are actually designated RE070R... interesting. But it's definitely a tire made just for the GT-R.

Yep, only 2 sizes for the RE070R RFT, both 20".

The RE050A's for the ISF suck, so do RE040's they previously had on the IS300. I think the RE070's would be any better. Hard compound, loud tire with marginal grip.

This thread I came back to because of the fact that the LFA Nurburgring edition's photos show a Bridgestone RE070 tire on the shots. So I wonder if this is a new compound or if this is just the same tire?
