my thoughts on the Yonaka coilovers:
I like the new coilovers a lot. The ride quality is like night and day. The car is able to absorb bumps better and i really enjoy the look of the car dropped. One thing that i noticed is that the dampings have to be turned all the way to the right or else the ride is too bouncy. I think this might be because the coilovers are also intended for the IS350. So if i wanted to make the car stiffer i would not be able to. The coilovers clearly say Not Racing Coilovers. But like i mentioned before the coilovers are perfect for my type of driving. The coilovers are also amazing cheap. Redline motorsport and Circuit motorsport both sell them for $800. So if you are looking to improve the ride quality and look of the ISF i would recommend these coilovers. I still have not inquired on the rebuild of the coilover. One thing that the guy who installed them mentioned is that the Yonaka Coilovers are one of the better built coilovers he has seen. Cant really remember but he mentioned something about how they seem better built than BCR and some other one that he has installed.

yea, lou mentioned that to me when we installed the intake. I forgot to mention it to the guy when he installed the coils lol. The coils are not specific for the F. They are for the IS350, IS350C and the ISF. I thinks thats the reason the damping have to be all the way to the right in order to get that kind of sturdiness i like

if the shock cant slow down the oscillation of the spring the then dont step up to a stiffer spring. I have 22k and 18k springs on mine BUT... its valving is superior on my kws. I think his setup should hold up fine for DD. Nice pics..

Spring rates are as follows:
Front springs: 10kg
Rear springs: 8kg
I had the front dropped a lot more because i wanted the gap to be even all around but ran into some light inner rubbing in the front. I ended up lifting the front and with just an increase of 1/2 an inch i don't rub anymore. I've never rode in an ISF with anything other than a stock suspension so all i can compare is stock to yonaka. And i can most definitely feel the difference. I'm happy with the results.
