so i lowered my car on Thursday before going to carlisle for the car show and Thursday at about 4 pm i went to the dealership and i asked them to align the car....so the car comes out when there done and the service manager says your car is done we adjusted your toe and could not touch the camber or caster because of the tein springs. So he said im only charging you 50 dollars, my question is this, my camber looks way off ( top of my tire tipped in toward the engine bay )...is this OK and should there be adjustments? I also don't understand why no camber adjustment can be made with springs being put on...i can understand caster because one it doesn't get adjusted much and two there is probably no need for adjustment...TIA
You cant adjust the camber on these cars anyways. Yes it is fine that you have negative camber just keep an eye on your tires for uneven tire wear. If you lower your car you are bound to get some camber.
Um, actually camber can't be adjusted on the 2IS or F. You'll have to live with the negative camber, depending on each car some may have good or bad camber after a drop. Did the dealer adjust the toe IN and not at 0?
The added negative camber on a 1 inch or so drop is not going to be excessive. You just gonna have to live with it or put in a adjustable camber kit whenever they become available.
In the meantime enjoy your increased front end turn in bite with the added negative camber.
