Default 10,000 mile service any suggestions?

I just made appointment for Saturday to get 10,000 mile service actually at 9,300. It was time for an oil change anyway.

Any suggestions I should request, I have to make sure they don't charge me for air filter(K&N CAI) . I have not got the pedal changed, or brake pads or anything.

What should I ask for, suggest, when I go in? Pros and cons would be appreciated. Also price of what avg. price should be.

Thx guys and girls.

Just tell them to do an oil change. It should run you $65. That's all you need unless there is something you want them to look at. If you don't want the pedal and software update you need to let them know before. Otherwise I would assume they will just do it.

PS: They always tell me I need to rotate the tires...lol

Specifically tell them to do oil and filter change (Regular or Synthetic oil). 10K-mile Service, which does nothing but inspection, gonna run up the bill. Also, don't forget about not to wash the car unless you want it to.

Good advice Always a no on the car wash.

At what point do the bigger services start? Is it 20k, 30k? 40k?

15k is the first one where they do more than just the oil change. At 10k you don't have to worry about them changing out your air filter. I have the AFE drop-in. The list of work done is in the manual. I always double check it before I go in, and also confirm it with the service advisor.

And yes, def. no car wash. If they are smart they'd suggest that without you asking. Mine does. ha ha

definitely no car wash, but also bring in your own oil. my SA even told me that they dont always pour in synthetic oil when performing the oil change. and from what ive heard, state beforehand that you do not want the pedal fixed (unless you do), because they will reflash the ECU with the new pedal.

switch to synthetic oil
it out performs
it is more costly and is kinda a waste because of our change intervals
but it out performs

Take your own oil since the cost on the 0W-20 is basically the same price as Mobil 1. Its basically just an oil change and check up. The big services are 15k, 30k, 45k, 60k in 15k mile intervals.

That's what they put in the IS-F's at the Lexus dealership i work at which is a synthetic blend...

Unless the customer doesn't want it and wants regular 5w-30 oil...

He's in TX, we're in So Cal so the prices will vary.

I pay $95 at Cerritos Lexus for an oil change.
