Most of the 3-piece wheels in the market are light, just a couple of lbs. heavier than stock. I don't see the wheels making a difference in the outcome.
And the shifting time in the different dual-clutch transmissions, it's just the electronic part, not the mechanical part. Yeah, it'll take 8ms for the TCU to receive the signal from the controller, but the whole experience is longer than that. The 100ms on the IS-F is from the moment you pull the paddle shifter to the moment the next gear is fully engaged.

10ms vs 8ms... its not much of a diff. Its the RPM of 8200 that makes the diff, but that is made up by 50+ more ft lbs of TQ + it only takes an ECU mod to get more power on the ///M

Sorry guys but engine torque discussions between different platforms are completely meaningless. You have gears between the engine and the wheel to fix that problem. Gears multiply torque. The only torque measurement worth considering is torque at the wheel's contact patch which takes into account driveline losses, gearbox and differential ratios and TIRE SIZE---GEE, did anyone ask if he's running the stock tire rolling diameters? OH WOW, if these tires are a larger diameter, then his gearing is effectively taller MAKING THE CAR ACCELERATE SLOWER because the torque at the wheel's contact patch is LESS.

What a concept, eh? Looks nice, goes slower. I've seen it many times.

My IS-F with jack, spare, tool kit, owner's manual, and everything else bone stock weighed in at 3742 lbs. Don't believe everything you read.

How much gas did you have in the car? I have also seen the stock weight of 3780.

And the shifting ti.
I disagree, just b/c a wheel is 3 piece does not mean it will be light, especially as sizes increase. Many 3 piece wheels weigh around 30lbs each depending on size.

^^^ Yeah, some wheels are way heavy, but not all of them. When I got my wheels I reported the weight for wheels, for tires, and for the combo (TPMS included), and then compared to the stock set. Each 20" combo was about 2 lbs. heavier in the front and 4 lbs. heavier in the back (than the stock combo version). My times are better, even with the 12 lbs. increase, due to the bigger contact patch.

Although this sounds really nice it wont apply in my case. I am running the Nitto Invo 285/25/20s which have a tire diameter of 25.5" which is actually 0.5" LESS than the stock 26" diameter

LOL, trust me he has eaten the supra dust many times even when had the M6. lol.

Here is a video when i was on 16psi (605whp) to his M6. Not the greatest video since it was at night but you can see when we line up and see his headlights and how fast they disappear, lol. On a couple of runs i would just let him get a 1-2 car length and on purpose start in 4th gear to give him a chance but the moment spool came in it was over:
