Default In a bit of a dilemma....need advice!

Just curious if anyone here either would or wouldn't buy an F just because it didnt have factory installed Navigation...Please let me know your thoughts,
thanks in advance.

BTW I found an 08 Starfire Pearl F locally with 9800 miles on it and the dealer is asking 40,648.00.

Yeah I was thinking the same along the lines of not having the the dvd and bluetooth but wasen't sure if the mark levinson sound only comes with the nav. package? any idea...

I personally wouldn't buy one without navigation...I really like the nav in the Lexus and it makes the interior look much more luxurious IMO

I wouldn't buy it w/out Nav for all of the reasons that people posted above. Bluetooth mainly... But also the luxurious looking factor. Interior looks plain IMO w/out it.

Yeah that seems to be the consensus overall.....I don't think id be happy with the car not having the nav. and everything else that comes with it. Appreciate the advice fellas. I think I am just gonna keep looking for one with NAV.

Good call lol. You would think nav would be standard in a lexus.

What does the dash look like without nav? Don't think I've ever seen one?

I wouldn't get an F without Nav, for the reasons stated above. Back-up Camera, Asethetics (look), resale.

The nav is cool, and back-up camera is a plus. For a good deal, I would purchase the car without the nav. Add a high quality headunit with back-up camera, bluetooth, and nav. You'll have much better sound than what the factory head unit can offer.

I am somewhat an audiophile. After integrating 2 JL amps to the stock system with the Rockford 3sixty.2, I think I hit a plateau. My system plays louder and cleaner than stock, but due to the factory nav/headunit, it will never sound the way i want it and will never unleash the potential of the components I have. (Focal krx2's off a JL 300/4 and JL HD750 for 10w7). Maybe JBL's new MS-8 processor would help. That's my next near future mod.

Lexus did a great job making the factory system sound good. If you could live with how it sounds, perhaps with an addition of a subwoofer, I would get an IS-F with the nav. It just wasnt good enough for me. Even after installation of high end (to me) products, the sound is still limited. I want to change my headunit.

I wouldn't either. Have to remember if you ever decide to sell the car, people are going to more interested in it if it has the nav. It is becoming such a popular item, I was at Sacramento Lexus a couple weeks back and the sales guy could count on one hand how many cars they had that didn't have nav on it. It just isn't worth saving the couple grand when you lose out on everything else it gives. I'd get it with.

I wouldn't buy one without nav as well. I think the backup camera really helps prevent you from bumping into things. Especially since our rear window is a bit hard to see low objects.
