Default Completed Nav Hack and Vais Tech Install

Started this morning around 9 am and just finished up a little bit ago (was off and on). Like others, the biggest problem was the air vents. Other than that the install was a breeze. The easiest part was the actual splicing of the wires. Also, on the Ipod adapter, I ran the wire to the center console through the area where the aux input is. (See pics) Already drove around the neighborhood and it works like a charm, DVD's and all.

If anyone's hesitant about doing this, don't be. Just take your time with the vents and your good to go. The rest is straightforward just like on the write-up.

Here are some pics. Sorry for the crappy iphone 3g pics. (Can't wait for my iPhone 4 on the 24th. Hopefully it'll take better pics.)

Vais Tech Ipod Adapter hooked up and working correctly. (Got mine for $140 from eBay)

DVD running perfectly with car in D (bonus points for anyone who can name the movie, Hint: it's a car movie)

Ipod wire (going through the aux input, it just pops out and unplugs. I didn't want to do anything that wouldn't be visually reversible)

DVD ebrake wire grounded

Vais Tech unit tucked away
