Default Question to those with lowering springs...

Hello people. to those who have lowered using springs...have any of you had issues with sqweeking or any other noises over slow bumps or dips? Just lowered with teins and i love the look and actually like the ride a whole lot better...less bouncy, but i got some sqweeks and noises over slow bumps and dips. Did my installer screw something up? Does anyone know what might be the obvious cause? thanks.

every once in a while ill get a slight pop/squeal sound over speed bumps at low speeds with my teins. it doesnt really bother me though as everything else about them is so superior to the stock springs.

Were squeaking noises there before? Experienced installer? Did you see how he placed the spring pads & bump stops during installation?

Have u tried checking to see if all the bolt are tight. Ur suppose to drive the car after install and then go back and reattempt to tighten the bolt to make sure nothing is loose. Sometimes thet will settle in more after driving it. But to be honest just go back to who did the install.

i have some squeeks...
i have eibachs and i did the install myself so i know everything was put back correctly
i know where the problem is for my car...it's basically where the spring sits on the rubber...
i'm going to put some grease in there when i take the suspension off later...

I don't have any noises and I'm on Teins. If you can isolate the noise to the suspension, then I'd take it back to the installer. Good luck.

The only springs available for our cars are H-Tech's right? I was told I can use S-Tech as well.... :/

Correct, according to Tein website H-Tech is the only Tein spring for IS-F.

take a trip to OSH, find some flexible tubing that has the same inner diameter as the outside of the spring, and place it over the parts of the spring that contact the seat and insulator...works everytime

Update....Well it ended up (for me anyways) not being the Teins at all making that noise but tire rub. I have since had my fenders rolled and pulled just a touch...wouldn't you know, no more noise!

Has anyone else with Tein H-Techs had a similar experience of rubbing?

Mrohno, I would love to see pictures of your car. Glad the noise went away. Thought you were going to get the fender rolled when you put the wheels on?

For those who have the H-techs installed, did your installer cut your 'bump stop'? The instructions recommend that they be cut slightly. Can you guys provide some insight? My potential installer suggested that they not be cut because the shocks will wear out a lot sooner. I'm looking to install my springs tomorrow.

TIA
