darn it, I was just going to accept that next December my lease is up. My buy back will be 22k. I just hit 10k miles. BUT now they are going to temp me with a new look new IS-F. How can I pass up a 2008 IS-F with estimated 15K miles (and fully customized to my liking) for 22K? Decisions decisions. D*&N YOU LEXUS

Don't worry.. Your not looking at an IS-F...

Yeah, the pictures are of the IS350 and 250 F Sports not the ISF. Use your imagination to "F-it-out," I guess.

Most intriguing is the news of incorporating LFA options into the new facelift ISF. Topspeed is my favorite site, and over the years, I have found their information to be very credible, so fingers crossed!

The Lexus IS received its last updates for the 2009 model year, so it’s a little surprising that Lexus has already decided to offer a few more improvements. This information comes to us by a leaked brochure that shows those improvements. These improvements should appear alive and in color for the 2011 model year.

The list of new updates will include LED daytime running lights incorporated into the headlights, redesigned fog lights and bumper insets as well as new tail lights. For the interior Lexus will offer a new steering wheel with new accents, a chrome strip added above the glove box, a USB connector, and an aluminum trim.

In regards to the engine, Lexus revealed that all the engines will be 15% more fuel-efficient than the current model. However, the Japanese company announced the biggest changes will be made for the top version, the IS-F sports sedan. It will get the same wheel design as the Lexus LF-A, a new front fascia, and an updated suspension.
Great to see a 15% improvement in fuel economy.

I hope the LED running lights isn't just executed as a cloning of Audi's.

I have to say that I think the IS is perhaps the nicest looking Lexus but the front view of the red one doesn't seem to be an improvement. It may be the photography or the redesign, but it looks to me like it has the lines of an HS.

Some thoughts.....

My dealer told me 2010s are on order only....they are not going to keep any in stock. Sad as they have the LSD.....

I think the IS really has surpassed Lexus expectations and outside of the backseat the car is very relevant in class today like the 3 series. They are among the oldest here but still arguably the best. I don't recall Lexus doing too many "double" MMC's, usually its one (The SC 300/400 comes to mind).

As we know the IS is based off the GS and the new GS is not here yet and we know things are tight budget wise. Maybe Lexus might be trying to squeeze another year or two out the IS this gen?

Let us ALL remember the IS F was not a planned product, it is an approved skunkworks one The LFA was to be the first "F" model. So there is probably some internal fighting on what to do with it as this gen ends and what happens with the next gen.

I don't see anything on the Japanese site yet.

Visited my dealer for some oil filters last week. They have three '10s in stock. A Matador Red one with chrome wheels from an '09. And two Mercury Metallic. Equipment is exactly the same on all, except one of the MM one's lacks the rear bumper appliqué that the other two have. Also the Red one and one of the MM ones have the Alpine interior, the other MM has the black interior. My dealer is enthusiastic about this car, and I believe they are the only stocking dealer in Phoenix. Superstition Springs Lexus. Good Guys.

Lou

random person: hey look, you got the same wheels as my isf
+1

Kinda defeats the "limited production/exclusivity" of the LF A if you drop the wheels on a lower model worth 1/6 the price.

Wow 22K for Lexus ISF, that is a good deal. Buy and resale for a profit towards a new Lexus ISF
