its good to see hyundai branching. its good competition for the other car makers out there. but in the end, i think many customers are choosing cars based on name. theres a status that comes with owning and driving a particular model, but for it to expand their engine base to a v8 makes them no slouch.

I'd be more worried about the Mustangs. I bet there is far more aftermarket support for cheap parts maximizing their straight-line potential. The hp wars are crazy!
If we were concerned mostly with dragging the car, then we wouldn't have gotten the F. There's a reason why you rarely see cheap-hp vs. IS-F threads around here.
