Default Exhaust/Muffler Question

Hey guys I read few muffler deletes thread. My question is what combination produces the best sound kind of loudish but nice at the sametime. Your opinons please...

1. Cut Mufflers, Resonator and Secondary Cats ---Replaced with straight Pipes

2. Cut Muffler and Secondary Cats ----Replaced with straight Pipes

3. Cut Resonator and Secondary Cats ---Replaced with straight Pipes

If I remove the secondary cats will I get CEL?

Please help...

Oh if you wondering why I am doing this instead of gettin an exhaust. Its because i am gettin all this done for free99. lol and I am tight with money right now, so untill i get a exhaust I want to do this mod.

I ended up removing the secondary cats...left the resonator and swapped out stock mufflers for straight through magnaflow mufflers. To me it sounds great...a little bit louder, nice tone at idle, refined growl at WOT, and no CEL. The magnaflows seem to have no noticeable drone either. I tried the no muffler with secondary cat delete, and don't get me wrong, it sounded just SICK, but too loud for me and I know my wife would have rolled her eyes after hearing it and would Have said something like "what, are you like 18?" Hahaha. Try removing the secondary cats first and then the mufflers and then start her up and hear it....you may like it, but if you don't just weld on some good straight through muffler...that should do the trick.

How would the sikky or elite headers bolt to the stock exhaust? I was thinking about doing exhaust then headers but may consider just doing the cat and muffler delete if I could bolt the headers to the stock exhaust.

I did rev it after cutting the cats, It was pretty loud. I was going to do option 1 but trust me option 2 is way perfect...Its loud and rumbly..

My friend told me when I first revved the car, His knees got weak from the sound. He was standing right behind the exhaust...everyone loves it....
